Goals and Objectives Palm Beach County is an incredibly diverse place to live and work. Almost every culture and ethnic group is represented here. While our diversity is clearly one of our greatest strengths, it also presents us with some of our greatest challenges. The key to overcoming these challenges is dialogue. It is Toward a More Perfect Union’s (TMPU) mission to provide a safe, comfortable environment for that dialogue; a place where individuals can develop and hone their ability to be culturally competent, sensitive and inclusive. Through our Study Circle program, the Youth Philanthropy Corps, Valuing Diversity, Cultural Competency, Black-Jewish Dialogue, Human Rights Day observance, this dialogue moves from words to positive action. As you explore our website, you will learn more about each of these programs and the groups that they touch. By focusing on our common goals, we can become united. But there is much work to be done to address the challenges of race relations and create opportunity for all. At TMPU, our hope is that, going forward, there will no longer be a need for organizations such as ours.
